Pamela G. Hobbs

A native of Dalkey, Co Dublin, Pamela made use of the local children's library from the age of seven, every Tuesday and Friday afternoon on the way home from school. By 13 she was penning her own stories, though very few ever got finished. Her dream as a child was to write and illustrate her own books and to that end, she attended the National College of Art and Design, in Dublin. Nowadays she definitely spends more time at the laptop than the easel.

Being a winner in the 2015 Novel Fair gained Pamela both confidence and experience. She was subsequently selected for 'Date with an Agent' at the International Literature Festival, Dublin in 2016, 2017 and 2018. These events gave Pamela the impetus to write her first short story, Time Heals, which was shortlisted for the Colm Tobin International Short Story Award, May 2017.

As an Adult Educator in Kilkenny, Pamela's days are busy, challenging and fulfilling. Her evenings are spent in another world altogether - that of romance and intrigue - it doesn't matter if she is reading or writing, her favorite motto is, 'Life can be tough, find your happy ending wherever you can.'

Pamela, her husband, and two sons lived in the United States, on both coasts, for 12 years and it's there that her love for romance and suspense novels was first nurtured. In her time there Pamela wrote articles focused on Irish Immigration for a well-known Irish paper based in Philadelphia, PA.

Pamela includes many Americans in her writing and enjoys focusing on the numerous family connections between the Irish and the US.
